Every ghost from the Matlock Ghost Emporium is lovingly handcrafted, carefully wrapped, and respectfully sent on its journey from our haunted mill to its new home. Please read below for full details on how your ghost travels through the mortal postal realm.
Processing Time
All of our ghosts are handmade, which means they are not mass-produced spirits plucked from a shelf.
• Orders are typically processed within 3–7 business days.
• During busy periods (such as Halloween, Christmas, or special releases), processing times may be slightly longer.
• If your order includes a made-to-order or custom ghost, processing times will be clearly stated on the product page.
Shipping Locations
We currently ship:
• Within the UK
• Internationally (selected countries)
Available shipping options and costs will be calculated at checkout based on your location.
Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
Delivery times begin after your order has been dispatched.
• UK Orders:
Estimated delivery is usually 2–5 business days after dispatch.
• International Orders:
Delivery times vary by destination and can range from 7–21 business days. Customs processing may cause delays beyond our control.
Please note that delivery estimates are not guaranteed, as once a ghost leaves our care, it is entrusted to postal services (and occasionally the whims of the spirit world).
Shipping Costs

Any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees for international orders are the responsibility of the buyer.
Tracking
Where available, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking information once your ghost has begun its journey.
Packaging
Each ghost is:
• Carefully wrapped to ensure safe passage
• Packed to protect delicate details and spectral integrity
• Sealed to prevent accidental hauntings en route
We take great care to ensure your ghost arrives safely and intact.
Lost or Delayed Shipments
If your order appears to be lost in transit or significantly delayed, please contact us at [your contact email] with your order number. We will investigate with the courier and do everything we can to help reunite you with your wandering spirit.
Damaged Orders
In the rare event your ghost arrives damaged:
1. Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery
2. Include clear photos of the damage and packaging
3. We will assess the situation and advise on a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate
Incorrect Address
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We cannot be responsible for ghosts sent to the wrong realm due to incorrect address details provided by the customer.
