To participate in our paranormal events, attendees must be of legal adult age - 18 years or older. All participants may be asked to provide valid photo identification to confirm their age before entering. Any attendees appearing under 18 without proper ID will be denied entry. We apologize for the inconvenience, but these precautions are necessary to maintain an appropriate environment. No refunds will be provided if any members of your party are turned away due to age restrictions. Please ensure all guests can provide proper ID verifying they are 18+ years old prior to your event booking. We aim to maintain both safety and integrity during these mystical gatherings. Underage participants can unfortunately jeopardize that through no fault of their own. We appreciate your understanding.
Some locations may present challenging environments for those with mobility limitations or other medical conditions. Historic buildings often have uneven terrain, narrow staircases, and dim lighting. For your safety and comfort, we advise pregnant women or individuals with heart conditions, recent injuries/illnesses, or restricted mobility refrain from attending.
If you have any concerns about your ability to comfortably participate, please reach out prior to booking so we can discuss accommodations. Attendees with mobility limitations or medical conditions may be asked to sign a waiver confirming they understand the risks.
Ultimately, each participant must determine if an event location is suitable for their own health and abilities. We aim to make paranormal investigations accessible but some sites inherently present hazards. For safety, all attendees must wear sensible shoes with traction that can handle potentially uneven terrain and stairs. Locations may have slick spots, loose floorboards, rocky ground, or other tripping hazards. Proper footwear like trainers or flats is required.
Heels over 2 inches, dress shoes with hard soles, and flimsy sandals/flip-flops are prohibited. Improper footwear may result in denial of entry without refund. Events transpire in low light, so sturdy shoes are imperative.
As some activities occur outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a torch or flashlight. We want you focused on paranormal mysteries, not distracted by wet, cold conditions!
By booking your ticket, you confirm agreement to our footwear policy. Sturdy traction shoes enable exploring safely. We simply aim to prevent slips, trips, and falls during these exciting but unpredictable investigations. Proper footwear shows respect for the history of buildings we are granted access to. While Matlock Ghost Emporium does carry standard public liability insurance for events, we also advise guests evaluate their own insurance needs and access third-party personal liability coverage if desired. Our events do not provide overnight accommodations unless explicitly stated. Some investigations may take place at hotels, inns, or pubs with rooms available to book. Discounts and booking information will be listed on the specific event details.
Outside of special overnight events, arrangements for rooms or transport are the customer's responsibility. We cannot provide sleeping facilities or travel for basic evening events. Please secure your own lodging and transportation needs prior to booking your tickets.
By purchasing a ticket you confirm you have made any necessary accommodations for late night travel/lodging required to comfortably attend events at the scheduled date, time, and location. We aim to provide a thrilling paranormal experience - solid rest before and after helps maximize the adventure!
Out of respect for nearby residents, we ask all attendees to depart events discreetly and keep noise levels low. Locations may be in quiet neighborhoods or have strict nighttime exit procedures. Please follow any posted or announced guidelines.
Due to the late hours, we strongly suggest attendees traveling from out of town book a local hotel room if possible. Trying to drive long distances when tired poses unnecessary risk. A night's rest before heading home is safer.
By purchasing a ticket, you take responsibility for making smart arrangements regarding transportation and lodging to and from events. We want you alert for maximum paranormal mystery, not dozing at the wheel! Please help us maintain good relations with venues and their surrounding communities by entering/exiting discreetly.
While portions of events allow independent exploration, attendees must otherwise remain with their assigned paranormal team for health and safety purposes. Please do not venture off alone unless explicitly invited during special vigil periods.
Straying from the group can present unnecessary risk and disrupt the investigation. Our team needs to account for every participant's whereabouts throughout the night. We also want you to have the full experience, not miss key moments!
By staying with your designated team in areas outside independent vigils, you get the most out of your ticket and assist us in conducting a safe, smooth event. If you require restroom breaks or have other needs to briefly step away, please discretely notify a staff member.

Matlock Ghost Emporium cannot be held responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings at events, including items left in vehicles. This includes clothing, jewelry, cameras, electronics, or any other equipment possibly affected by paranormal activity. We also are not liable for parking tickets, towing, or vehicle damage.
Please park and store valuables responsibly and with consideration of the venue and neighborhood. Secure any equipment from falls, contamination, or other hazards as best possible. All guests retain full responsibility for their own items.
While we aim to provide a thrilling experience, we cannot safeguard your personal possessions. Consider keeping irreplaceable items secure at home. Bring only necessary gear and valuables to investigations. Focus on the supernatural, not lost belongings! Enjoy the adventure knowing your possessions remain your own responsibility. We're here to commune with spirits, not inventory items.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all event venues. Locations with designated outdoor smoking areas will be identified upon arrival. Please obey all posted restrictions.
Additionally, fire hazards like open flames from candles, incense, or similar are forbidden for safety reasons. Any such items will be confiscated for the event's duration or until off-site. Ignoring this policy may result in removal without refund.
We must take precautions to avoid damage or disruption to these heritage locations. While we rely on atmospheric lighting, we cannot allow sources of open fire without oversight. Please leave candles, incense, matches, lighters and all other burning risks at home or in your vehicle during events. Our mystic pursuits require an open sixth sense, not open flames!
Let us know during registration if you have medical exemptions for nicotine patches/gum or other smoking cessation products and we will accommodate discreetly. Otherwise, we appreciate your cooperation with our strict no smoking/no open flames policy so we may better focus on the paranormal instead of potential hazards.
Basic refreshments such as tea, coffee, and soft drinks will be provided at events where possible. However, due to some locations lacking electricity, we cannot guarantee hot beverages.
We advise attendees bring their own water bottles and thermoses of desired hot drinks if you need sustained hydration and warmth. Having your own refreshments allows enjoying the night without distraction.
Please discretely provide your own refreshments only during designated break times as announced by staff. We aim to provide amenities to boost the experience but recommend individuals come prepared with personal provisions as well. That allows us to focus on the paranormal, not catering!
Let us know in advance if you have medical dietary restrictions so we can do our best to accommodate appropriately. Otherwise, feel free to discreetly supplement the light snacks and drinks we supply. Your comfort fuels the adventure - just be mindful of venue rules and investigation ambience.
We welcome both novice investigators and experienced paranormal team members to our public events. However, out of respect, we ask that attendees please refrain from wearing apparel or accessories displaying other ghost hunting organizations or team logos during our investigations.
To prevent confusion or disruption, we may request those displaying external affiliations to cover up their branding. If alternate attire is unavailable, we may have to regrettably ask the person to leave without refund.
Rest assured, our aim is not to censor but to provide an immersive, cohesive experience. Representing other teams draws focus away from the at-hand phenomena and historic venue we are honoring. Let's keep the focus on furthering everyone's shared paranormal knowledge, not promotion.
By purchasing a Matlock Ghost Emporium event ticket, you agree to avoid apparel or items touting separate teams/organizations during our investigations. Please represent yourself and your own curiosity - we are all equals seeking answers! We simply request this basic courtesy so our events stay focused, not competitive.
Personal cameras are permitted during events but with important restrictions. Any photos, videos, or audio recordings captured are for your own enjoyment - not public distribution without consent. All footage remains proprietary intellectual property of Matlock Ghost Emporium.
Before filming/recording, please advise those around you and allow them to opt out. Also email us from an event for express permission before posting any content publicly, including social media. This protects guests' privacy and ensures appropriate representations of our team, venues, and events.
Some locations have partial filming prohibitions too which staff will explain onsite. Please respect limitations and ask before recording where unsure. Violating our media policy may incur legal action. You may need to sign an agreement at check-in acknowledging this for certain locations.

Tickets for Matlock Ghost Emporium events are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please confirm you can attend on the date booked, as we cannot offer refunds or exchanges if you miss the event.
Our locations require advance payment we are obligated for regardless of attendance. All ticket sales are final - we do not provide credits or transfers. If selecting a partial deposit option, the full balance must be paid at least 28 days prior to the event date or your booking may be canceled.
You must inform us if unable to attend up until the event start time so we can account for all registrants. Reselling your purchased tickets independently is prohibited on public sites, but may be arranged privately if desired. However, Matlock Ghost Emporium assumes no liability for any third-party ticket transactions or assistance provided.
We aim to provide a fair, unambiguous cancellation policy like any experience-based business. These measures allow us to secure superb venues and staff without risk of last minute losses. Please carefully review your selected date before finalizing your booking. We cannot make exceptions given prepaid venue commitments, but trust you understand.

Cancellations by Us
Matlock Ghost Emporium reserves the right to cancel or postpone events at our sole discretion for any reason, including insufficient bookings. Should this occur, we will notify customers as soon as reasonably possible.
Your ticket purchase will be transferred to another event of your choice, placed in an account credit for future bookings, or refunded if no suitable alternatives exist. However, Matlock Ghost Emporium cannot be held responsible for any additional expenses incurred like travel, lodging, or other costs related to a canceled event.
We advise booking flexible hotel rates allowing cancellation without penalty in case of any last minute changes. But rest assured, investigation cancellations remain a rarity - we take great care to avoid them barring unavoidable circumstances.
You have our commitment to deliver amazing experiences or make right if we fall short. Thank you for your understanding that supernatural events don't always align with mortal plans! Together we will seek the truth, even if the time and place shifts on occasion. The spirits will wait...
SECTION 22 - DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
For safety and respect, alcohol consumption or attending under the influence is prohibited before or during all Matlock Ghost Emporium events. Anyone deemed intoxicated upon arrival will be denied entry without refund.
Additionally, if staff suspect a participant is under the influence or distributing alcohol/illicit substances onsite, they reserve right to remove the individual immediately without compensation.
We simply aim to maintain a secure environment at these historic venues and ensure sound judgment prevails for everyone's wellbeing. Investigation conditions require complete faculties. Impaired senses or judgment jeopardize the experience's integrity.
Please enjoy alcoholic beverages responsibly before or after your adventure. Arriving in compromised condition unfortunately risks you and the event as a whole. We know you understand our obligation to enforce this policy evenly so the night can remain appropriately focused.
Let's keep the evening's thrills supernatural in nature! Participants found in violation of this alcohol/intoxication policy will be ejected, but we hope it needn't come to that. Please honor the venues andpurpose so we can all bask in the mystery together. The spirits await sober minds and souls.
SECTION 23 - BEHAVIOUR POLICY
Matlock Ghost Emporium provides a welcoming, respectful environment for all guests to share an amazing experience. We ask that you avoid disruptive behavior that could detract from others' enjoyment.
Inappropriate conduct like aggression, deception, intoxication, or disregarding staff will be addressed promptly. Individuals who continue to disturb the atmosphere after warnings may be ejected without refund, regardless of weather or transportation issues. We must consider the collective experience.
Additionally, faking paranormal activity violates the integrity of the entire investigation and will result in immediate removal. Please approach events sincerely for the benefit of all attendees.
If unable to attend your booked event for any reason, even last minute, please notify us ASAP so we can inform staff. While policy does not allow refunds or exchanges, we appreciate the courtesy to update our team.
